Personal Development Point Review #1.5

I have achieved my goal to complete all of my outstanding work by the end of the week. I had to work in my free periods and at home to get it all done in time. However, I haven't been able to complete all of the artwork I wanted to because I prioritized reaching deadlines that had been set by teachers instead of my own.


At the weekend I was able to start practicing on my new longboard and filmed video of friends to go along with the process. One of the reasons for me doing this is to practice editing for my Media Studies work. This fits in with my goal to finish another video I filmed over the course of 2 weeks that I'm aiming to complete but haven't yet finished the process. Finishing the video I created in the school holidays will take many hours to complete and I will need to manage my time well to be able to fit it in with all of my other work.



Personal Development Point Goals #1

This week I am aiming to complete all of my schoolwork that I need to catch up on by the weekend. This means I will have to work after school and in free period in order to ensure all of my work is complete. The most amount of work I have to work on is my Art Project. I haven't been able to fit as much time in as I would have liked to recently and it's time I did extra work after school in order to get ahead.


One of the main reasons for aiming to complete all of my current work by the weekend, apart from reducing stress, is so that I am able to dedicate the weekend to learning a new trick on my longboard with friends. I have recently purchased a longboard (a much longer version of a skateboard that is designed for different activities) to try out instead of my original skateboard and would like to learn new things. The trick I will be attempting to learn is the slide. This is where you rotate the board under your feet so it "drifts" and you come to a stop. This will obviously take longer than one weekend to learn, in fact it will take many hours to perfect.


Another aim I have for the next few weeks is to finish editing a video I created over the course of two weeks in the school holidays. There is a lot of footage that I managed to shoot so this will also take longer than the weekend to finish. The hardest part about finishing the video is having time to sit at the computer for long periods of spare time that I don't have. This means that I will have to manage my time very carefully.
